So, we were feeling creative this morning, and we wanted to do something with hearts. Here is what we came up with.
Our little heart buddies were so easy to make. Our materials: cardstock paper, heart stencil (you could find a heart online), googly eyes, feathers, glue stick, Sharpie, and a heart hole punch.
We started with our cardstock hearts. We used googly eyes, feathers, paper, and a Sharpie to decorate our heart faces.
Next, we used strips of cardstock scrapbooking paper to make arms and legs by folding the paper into little accordion strips. Will enjoyed this step.
I used this heart-shaped hole punch to make tiny little hearts to use for hands and feet. I also used them as a border around my heart.
We attached the arms and legs to the back of each heart using a glue stick. To make the heart buddy a little neater in appearance, we glued another heart (the same size as the heart face) to the back. We thought it would also help to keep the feathers in place and the arms and legs attached.

Our heart buddies turned out pretty cute, but we had a few smaller hearts remaining. We also found these cute little feet on one of our scrapbooking papers.
So, we came up with these.
So sweet. Will LOVED these little guys. He played with them until dinner. Then it was time to make cupcakes.
Will did a great job with the sprinkles.
Now the little man is in bed, and Nathaniel and I are going to continue our Mad Men marathon. We're on season four, and we just started the first season in the middle of January. :) We have to be ready for the premier in March.
Happy Friday!
